Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Sugo is built to respect your privacy. It requires no sign-up, creates no account, and collects no data that personally identifies you.
Data we do NOT collect
No name, email, phone number, location, or advertising identifier. There is no login and we do not track your identity.
Data processed to make the app work
- Ingredients and preferences you type (ingredients, pantry, equipment, course, difficulty): sent anonymously to our service on Cloudflare, which passes them to Anthropic's AI model (Claude) to generate recipes. They are not linked to your identity. Please do not enter personal data in these fields.
- Temporary cache: generated responses may be stored anonymously for up to 7 days to speed up identical requests and keep costs down.
- Aggregate, anonymous statistics: we log aggregate usage data (e.g. which course types or difficulty levels are requested, number of pantry items) via Cloudflare Analytics Engine. It contains no identifiers and none of your recipe content.
Data stored only on your device
Your pantry, equipment, saved recipes, and your free-recipe count stay on your iPhone (local storage and Keychain). We do not see them and never receive them.
Subscriptions
In-app purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat (our subscription-management provider). They receive the data needed to process and restore purchases under their respective policies. We never receive your card details.
Providers
- Apple — in-app purchases
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Anthropic — recipe generation (processing the text you type)
- Cloudflare — service hosting and aggregate statistics
Children
Sugo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
Your requests
Because we keep no data linked to your identity, we cannot trace specific information back to you. For any question, email us at edovaghi@gmail.com.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date above.
